Consider your guests comfort

Pic from www.thelittlebridalshop.com but you can make these yourselves wooden stick, glue, print out of your wedding program, add ribbon or other accents if you will.

With the fluctuation in weather lately (rain, sun, cold) I thought I would touch a bit on considering your guests comfort.

If you are planning an outdoor wedding in the summer months think about how hot and sunny it is, how long your guests are going to be outside, men wiping sweat from their foreheads and sweating through their suits and women's strapless dresses sliding down. Here are a few nice gestures you can do to show your guests you appreciate them and are thinking about their comfort.

-personalize a bottle of cold water with a label that says "you and your fiance and your wedding date" and get it to match your theme/colours etc and have your ushers or wedding coordinator hand them out to guests as they arrive.
-a cool off area that contains some shade and cold refreshments, sun block
-have service staff hand out frozen towels, cold lemonade or iced tea to your guests
-make your wedding programs into fans
-let your guests know on the invitation if your ceremony or wedding will be outdoor and to dress appropriately.
-if you are having a beach wedding flip flops can double as a wedding favour and a comfort item
-dicky-dee style? hand out freezies, popsicles, ice cream bars, or fudgicles to guests....mmmm.. i don't know a big kid out there that doesn't love the icecream man.

Bree & Ricky Da Rosa Wedding May 2009

It was such a pleasure working with this couple. Bree had a vision of a spring garden for her wedding. So she chose for each of her bridesmaids to wear a different colour with the guys ties and pocket squares to match the girls dresses. She loves gerber daisies and chose them to be her flowers.

Thank you so much for letting us be apart of your special day and we wish you all the best!

Please visit our flickr page for their wedding photos.
